May I rant? I walked into the local Wal-mart the day after Halloween, and what did I see in the seasonal section? Thanksgiving stuff? NO! Christmas... Mind you I love Christmas, and every Godly thing it stands for, but I am sick of people skipping right over Thanksgiving. We have more than enough to be thankful for....Christian or not. The air you breath. Your sight, you smell, taste, touch, hearing. People all over do not have these abilities, and we take them for granted. I can not begin to fathom what a blind person goes through without being able to see the beauty of life, and yet we never stop to be thankful for our vision. Family, there are so so many without a good family, or who have lost loved ones yet we take it for granted that they will be there. I know this all to well, as I just lost my brother who was thirty only 7 months ago. His birthday would have been the 24th. The things I would give to see him again, if only for a moment...long enough to let him know I love him. Then, I look at my Uncles who live so far away, wont pick up the phone to call there dad or brother (my dad), and it saddens me. We have so much to thank God for. May we remember Thanksgiving, and let that which is precious to us not slip our minds.
